Upon arrival from the recent Nebraska Call To
Holiness Conference earlier this week, a group from Detroit was inspired
to write a letter to Adam Cardinal Maida of the Archdiocese of Detroit
requesting Eucharistic Adoration at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, the
most significant church in the entire archdiocese. The letter will be hand
delivered to the Cardinal by renowned teacher on the Catholic Faith, and
world famous author, Father John Hardon, S.J. Also, he will hand deliver a
letter to His Holiness, Pope John Paul II, with a copy of the Cardinal's
letter. It is hoped that the Cardinal approves the request, which should
pave the way for Eucharistic Devotion throughout the entire Archdiocese,
as currently it is opposed by a great number of pastors.
Many people have joined a "NOVENA OF PRAYER"
for the success of the Eucharistic Congress and the hopeful fruit that it
will bear. Please unite your prayers with the people of Detroit, the city
where sadly there is substantial dissent against numerous church
teachings, irreverence in churches and very few vocations.
Through our unity of spiritual works, we will
place Jesus as King in one parish at a time beginning with each diocese's
Cathedral! Our prayers can make a difference! NOW IS THE TIME. "Ad Majorem
Dei Gloriam"
